Even Q Would Love the LEGO James Bond Aston Martin DB5
Man of Many

The LEGO James Bond Aston Martin DB5 might just be the closest any of us will ever get to actually owning one of the superspy’s legendary vehicles. Fortunately, LEGO went all out on this model. Often, LEGO models bear a passing resemblance to their source material. With the Aston Martin DB5, that resemblance graduates all the way to striking. This LEGO car looks like Bond’s faithful ride, from the drum-lacquered silver front and rear bumpers, to the moulded silver-colored wire wheel rim inserts. The boot, bonnet, and doors all open, revealing hidden details of this expert build.
But it’s the gadgetry that really sets the Bond cars apart. The LEGO model delivers there as well. The interior hides a concealable radar tracker as well as a door compartment with a telephone. The license plates revolve, just like the car in the movie. A rear-window bulletproof screen raises from the boot and the tires can be equipped with scythes. When you pull back the gearstick, the front wing machine guns pop out. But the funnest feature? That would have to be the working ejector seat that will send a passenger flying when you pull back the rear bumper.
The accuracy and realism don’t stop there. Under the hood you’ll find a straight-6 engine, complete with all the details. This is definitely a LEGO build worthy of the Creator Expert title, and of any display shelf in your home.
